階段의 이미지를 응용한 陶磁 Tableware 디자인 연구

Abstract

인간은 과거에 연연하기 보다는 미래에 대한 도전과 꿈을 가지고 살기를 기원한다. 예로부터 인간은 높이 날거나 높은 곳을 올라가 세상을 내려다보기를 갈망하였다. 이는 인간의 기대심리가 장소나 위치 등과 상관관계가 있기 때문일 것이며, 이상세계를 동경하는 심리가 잘 반영되어 있다고 할 수 있다. 우리가 흔히 보는 계단은 단순한 이동의 공간을 떠나 조형적으로도 매우 의미있게 해석할 수 있다. 계단이 있어 더 아름다운 건물, 자연을 거슬리지 않고 쌓아 놓은 북한산 자락의 돌계단, 웅장함을 더하는 계단형 무덤 등에 내재된 조형의 언어를 재해석하여 현대인의 정서에 맞는 테이블웨어를 제작하고자 하였다. 오늘날 식탁에서 흔하게 접하는 테이블웨어는 나름대로의 기능을 가지고 있지만, 개성적인 삶을 추구하는 현대인의 기호를 감안하였다고는 보기 어렵다. 따라서, 본 연구는 현대인의 가치변화에 따라 기능적이면서도 감성세계를 자극할 수 있도록 계단의 상징적 형상과 시각적 기능을 중점으로 하여 여러 형태의 Food Style 중 Tea Tableware와 Dinner Set를 제작하고 실생활에 적용함으로써 현대인들의 음식문화에 맞는 테이블웨어를 제안하고자 한다. 제작방법은 정리된 계단의 이미지를 재구성하여, 개선된 음식문화와 조화를 염두하고 제작에 임하였다. 태토는 내구성과 백색도가 양호한 자기질 점토를 주재료로 사용하고, 대량생산과 섬세한 작업이 가능한 석고틀에 의한 이장주입성형을 이용하였다. 다양한 색감을 얻고자 투명유, 청자유, 동결정유를 사용하여 밝고 시원한 느낌을 전달하고자 하였다. 소성은 전기가마를 이용하였으며, 850℃ 정도로 1차 소성한 후 유약에 따라 1250℃ 전후에서 2차 소성하였고 800℃로 3차 소성하였다. 변화된 생활로 하여금 다양한 생활자기의 출현이 예상되고 더불어 많은 연구가 요구될 것이며, 미력한 이 연구가 조금이라도 도움되었으면 한다.|Human being pursues life with the challenge and dream for the future rather than clinging to the past. Since long ago, human desired to fly high or look down the world from a place up above. This may have something to do with human expectation being related to a place or a location, which reflects human's psychology of yearning for ideal world. The stairs that are often seen around us, apart from a mere space of movement, may be interpreted very meaningfully in terms of shape. We plan to produce a table wear that suits the modern sentiment by re-interpreting the language of shape that is embedded in things as a building that is added with more beauty by the stairs, rocky stairs in Bookhan mountain skirt that are pilled up without offending the nature, and stair-like tombs of grandeur. Although the table wears that we encounter most often on the table today have unique function, it is hardly said that modern taste that pursues individual life is considered in them. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to manufacture Tea Tableware and Dinner set among the many kinds of the Food style placing emphasis on the symbolic form and the visual function for the stairs, in order to impulse the sensibility by the change of value for the moderns, as a result to propose Tableware suitable to the Food culture for the moderns. For production method, the image of arranged stairs was reconstructed or attached to the deformity, in consideration of harmony with improved food-culture. Bone china that provides good durability and whiteness was used as major material for ground soil, and slip casting method by plaster frames was used as it provides massive production and delicate craftsmanship. Transparent oil, porcelain oil, and freezing refined oil were used in order to acquire various colors and deliver bright and cool impression. Electric stove was used for plasticity. The 1stplasticity was made in 850℃, while 2nd oxidized plasticity was made before and after 1250℃ by glazing. The 3rd plasticity was made in 800℃. It is expected that various living ceramics will appear as a result of changes in lifestyle and more studies will be required consequently. We hope our small study will make any contribution to these foreseen changes.
