결속이미지를 통한 심상표현 연구 : 염색 작품을 중심으로

Abstract

현대 회화에 있어 선은 표현의 주된 요소로 인식되어 왔으며, 재현 예술을 떠나 추상미술에 오면서 단순히 현상의 묘사를 넘어 순수의식의 표현 수단으로 이용되었다. 이러한 선을 시작으로 만들어지는 면은 단순한 2차원적인 예술을 벗어나 양감을 표현 할 수 있는 3차원적 예술로 발전되는 과정이다. 이는 내면세계의 표현과 무의식적인 행동 표현의 수단으?關? 선과 면, 그리고 양감의 중요성을 의미한다. 본 연구에서는 선의 중첩으로 인해 면이 이루어지고 하나의 덩어리가 되는 표현으로 실타래를 형상화 한 '인간관계의 결속'을 말하고자 한다. 이를 통해 우리 인간과 사회는 결국 어울림 속에 존재할 수 있으며 삶을 영위하는데 가장 최상의 조건이란 인간과 외부세계의 조화로운 결속이 이루어져야 함이라는 것을 표현하고자 한다. 이러한 '결속'의 이미지를 표현하기 위해 풍부한 양감의 표현과 선의 표현에 적절한 소재로 실타래를 선택하였다. 본인에게 있어 실타래는 자아의 내면세계에 내포하고 있는 타인 및 사회와의 갈등과 조화를 동시에 수용할 수 있는 상징성을 뜻한다. 작품에서 보여 지는 실타래의 이미지는 여러 가지다. 첫째, 우리 인간관계속에서 빚어지는 갈등과 혼란의 문제를 상징적으로 표현한 것이라고 볼 수 있다. 둘째, 실타래와 실타래의 부수적인 요소인 실의 관계는 우리 인간이 속한 사회와 개인을 의미하며 또한 한 가닥의 실은 현대사회의 복잡한 인간관계의 문제를 해결하려는 실마리를 나타낸다. 셋째, 실타래는 이러한 여러 가지 문제에서 벗어나 보다 조화롭게 결속된 우리 인간사회의 올바른 표본으로 나타낼 수 있다. 이로써 인간과 외부세계 사이의 본질적이고 근원적인 갈등의 문제를 올바른 방향으로 해결하고 상호 보완과 화합으로 결속함으로서 조화를 이루는 사회를 구현하고자 하는 것이 본 연구에서 말하고자 하는 것이다. 본인은 이와 같은 조형작업을 통해 인간관계의 의식구조에 있어 보다 긍정적인 사고방식을 기대하며 타인에 대한 배려를 통해 자아의 새로운 내면세계를 찾고자 하는 과정을 형상화 하고자 한다.|In modern paintings, a line is recognized as a chief element of expression, and is used as an expressional method which is more than description for pure consciousness as it moved from a reproduction art to abstract one. A plane which is made of those lines makes three-dimensional art expressing massiveness besides simple two-dimensional art. It means that lines, planes and masses are significant ways to show interior worlds and unconscious activities. This research was for 'A union of human relationship' which was expressed through the way that lines make planes when they interact and they make a mass finally. Through it, I wanted to show that human relationships and the societies can be existed in the harmony, and the best situation can be existed when human beings make harmonious binding. To express this 'binding' image, I chose thread-ball which is best to show abundant mass and lines as a subject matter. Thread-ball means capability for conflicts and harmonies of peoples and societies in interior world of ego to me. Thread-ball which was shown in the painting has several images. First, it shows the problems of conflicts and chaos which occurs in human relationship. Second, the relationship between thread-ball and thread which is fundamental element of thread-ball means the relationship between society which consist of persons and each person. Furthermore, a piece of string means the key to solve the problems of complicate human relationship in modern society. Third, Thread-ball could be seen as an ideal model of our society which is free from a lot of problems and is combined harmoniously. In this research, I wanted to suggest the correct way to solve the problems of basic and fundamental conflicts what people have against exterior world and the embodiment of harmonious society. Through molding, I expect positive consideration in human relationship in the society and I want to show the process of finding new interior world of ego through considering others.
