간극의 표현을 통한 정체성 연구 : 본인의 작품을 중심으로

Abstract

본 논문은 2002년부터 2003년까지 제작된 본인의 작품을 중심으로 발상의 단계에서부터 구체적 표현 방법에 이르기까지 작품에 대한 내용과 형식적 측면에 대하여 분석한 것이다. 우선 본 작품의 시작은 본인 자신을 표현하기 위함이었다. 본인의 작품은 일견 애매모호하고 어중간한 본인 자신에 대하여 직관적으로 확인하고 파악함으로써 작업은 시작 되어진다. 본인의 인성(人性)과 유사하다고 생각되어지는 주변의 사물과 현상에서 작품의 소재로서의 연관성을 취하는 과정과 표현과정을 살펴보았으며, 이를 통하여 여러 가지 표현대상과의 관계 속에서 중간적인 요소들을 찾으며 그 중간적인 것이라는 개념에 대하여 서술하였다. 본 논문은 크게 두 개의 장으로 나뉘어져 있으며, 첫 장에서는 미술의 양식(樣式)에 대한 비교와 존재(存在)에 관한 인식론적(認識論的)인 의미 등을 통하여 본인 작품의 주제가 되는 중간적인 것에 대하여 그 의미를 서술하였으며, 둘째 장에서는 그러한 주제가 판화로써 어떻게 형식적으로 이루어져 가는지에 대하여 서술하였다. 또한 작품 분석을 통하여 구체적인 표현의 실예를 서술하였다. 본인의 작품은 본인의 삶과 인성을 그대로 반영한 것이라 할 수 있으며, 자신의 동일성(同一性), 정체성(正體性)을 찾아나가는 과정이라고 할 수 있다. 얼굴은 그려져 있지 않지만, 광의(廣義)의 자화상이라고 부르고 싶다.|This study analyzed about the contents and the formal aspect of the work ranging from the phase of idea to the specifically expressive method, focusing on my work, which had been manufactured from 2002 to 2003. First of all, the start of this work aimed to express me myself. In relation to my works, it is begun to be worked by intuitively confirming and understanding about me myself who is vague and noncommittal at the first glance. It was tried to examine the process of taking the correlation as the material of a work and the expressive process from the surrounding objects and phenomena that are thought to be similar to my human nature, and through this, it described about a concept of its being in-between, with searching for the in-between elements amid the relation with diversely expressive targets. This study is divided largely into two chapters, and the first chapter described its meaning of being in-between, which becomes the theme of my work, through the epistemological meaning about comparison and existence for the mode of art, and the second chapter described about how such theme is being attained formally as printmaking. Also, through the analysis of a work, it depicted the actual example of specific expression. My work can be said to reflect my life and human nature, as they are, and can be said to be the process of proceeding with seeking for the sameness and the identity of me myself. In the face of not being depicted a face, it is liked to call the self-portrait of a general meaning.
