가상공간 속 SNS를 통해 드러난 과잉된 욕망의 시각적 표현연구

Abstract

본 논문은 2016년부터 2018년까지 작업한 작품에 대한 전반적인 연구 결과 보고이다. 발표된 작품을 중심으로 작품 형성 배경과 표현 방법을 연구, 분석한 것으로 SNS상 가상관계로부터 오는 과잉된 욕망의 대한 문제의식을 주목하고 작품을 통하여 표현 된 SNS상에서 일어나는 현상과 가상공간에서 관계의 대한 중독과 욕망에 대해 연구하였다. 현재 SNS 문화는 광범위하게 확산되어 우리의 삶의 장소를 변화시켰다. 우리가 실제로 사는 현실공간과 SNS를 통해 연결되는 가상공간은 ‘소통의 시대’ 라는 말이 보여주듯이 소통으로 구성이 되고 가치가 부여되는 공간이다. SNS를 통해 가상공간에서의 관계와 현실공간의 관계가 모호해졌으며 SNS를 통한 사진 속 이미지가 현실 속 진짜 이미지처럼 주목되고 있다. 본인은 SNS에서 나타나는 욕망, 중독, 과시, 결핍의 대한 감정의 모습을 해시태그, 이모티콘, 사진이미지를 이용한 작품을 통해 다양하게 표현하고 있다. 본인은 본 논문에서 현실공간과 가상공간의 매개인 SNS이용자들의 과잉된 욕망의 모습을 페르소나 개념을 통해 설명하고 이를 바탕으로 작품을 분석하였다.

본 논문은 2016년부터 2018년에 작업한 작품을 바탕으로 다음과 같이 구성하였다. 제 1장 서론에서는 본인 작품에 대한 연구 목적과 연구 방법을 서술하였다. 제 2장 본론에서는 첫째 SNS가 사회적 많은 영향을 끼치게 되면서 SNS의 관계집착형 중독과 과잉된 욕망을 통하여 페르소나적 모습을 서술하고 SNS상의 다양한 기호와 해시태그, 이모티콘이 현실공간에서 어떻게 작용되는지에 대해 서술하여 작품형성배경을 설명하였다. 둘째 SNS용 사진 찍기를 통한 자기과시의 표현, 관계 참여적 설치, 색채와 장식적인 요소, 반복적인 행위들을 통한 이미지로 나타내기의 방식을 통해 본인의 작품표현 방법을 분석하였다. 제 3장 결론에서는 본 논문의 내용과 작품을 정리하고 앞으로 나아갈 작업의 방향을 모색하였다.|This thesis is an overall research report about works that I produced from 2016 until 2018.Centered on released works, it studies and analyzes the background of formation of artworks and their representation; -taking notice of a critical mind about surplus desires originating from a virtual relationship on Social Networks -exploring the phenomena expressed through the artworks which take place on Social Networks, and addiction and desires for a relationship on virtual space Today, the culture of Social Networks has broadly spread, changing our living spaces and lifestyle. Reality space where we actually live and virtual space where we are connected through social networks are the space comprised of communication as shown in a term ‘an era of communication’ and granted value. Social Networks have blurred a relationship on virtual space and that on reality space, thereby making images in photos paid attention like real ones. I intended to variously express through works using and attaching hash tags(#), emoticons, and photo images to emotional appearances abut desires, addictions, and ostentation appearing on Social Networks. I, in this dissertation, explain appearances of surplus desires by the users of social networks who are media for reality space and virtual space through the concept of persona and analyze works based on it.

This thesis is composed based on the works from 2016 to 2018 as follows. In the first chapter, Introduction, the purpose and methods of the study on my works are described. In the second chapter, Body, firstly, I describe appearances of persona manifested through relation-obsessed addiction to social networks and overflowing desires as a result of social networks having much influence socially and depict how various marks, hashtags, and emoticons on social networks work and explain the background of formation of artworks. Secondly, I analyze ways of representing my own works by means of expression of personal ostentation by taking pictures for social networks, relation-involving installation, colors and ornamental components, methods for presenting myself as images via repetitive actions. The third chapter, Conclusion, I summarize the contents of this thesis and grope orientation(direction) of works I will take in future.
