가브리엘 포레의 Flute작품 연구 및 분석

Abstract

1789년에 일어난 프랑스 혁명으로부터 싹튼 자유와 평등정신은 각국의 시민 계급 속에 깊숙이 침투하여 19세기를 대표하는 시대정신이 되었고, 그 시대정신은 자유주의 사상에 자극받은 시민계급을 중심으로 민족주의 정신을 형성하게 된다. 프랑스 음악 부흥의 시작은 이러한 사회적 분위기를 바탕으로 1871년 파리음악원 교수인 생상을 중심으로 프랑스 국립 음악협회가 설립 되면서부터이다. 이 협회는 민족주의 정신에서 출발하였으며, 프랑스의 음악적 특징과 우수성 회복에 노력을 기했다. 이 시기의 작곡가 가브리엘 포레(Gabriel Faure, 1845~1924)는 낭만주의와 드뷔시(Claude Debussy, 1862~1918)의 인상주의 사이의 교량적 역할을 한 중요한 작곡가이다. 그의 작품세계는 크게 3기로 나눌 수 있는다. 1기는 니델메이에르 음악 학교에 재학하던 시기로 피아노 소품의 작곡을 시작했고, 기교가 지나치지 않은 서정적인 선율을 사용하였다. 그가 프랑스 음악 협회의 일원으로 활동하던 2기에는 프랑스적 색채와 그만의 독특한 작곡 기법을 발전시켰다. 3기에 들어서 그의 음악어법은 다양해지고 전조와 반음계, 동형진행을 많이 사용하였으며, 온음계의 사용 역시 두드러지게 나타난다. 같은 시기에 개량된 뵘식(bohemm style) 플루트를 제일 먼저 받아들인 프랑스는 플루트 교수들에 의해 연주법이 연구되고 체계가 정립되면서 플루트 음악 선진국으로 그 지위를 확립하게 되었다. 본 논문은 프랑스 전통을 계승하고 인상주의에 영향을 준 가브리엘 포레와 그의 작품세계를 알아보고, 그의 작품 Sicilienne op.78과 Flute Fantasy op.79의 분석을 통해 포레의 음악적 특징이 어떻게 나타나는지 알아보고자 한다. 또한 19세기 플루트의 발전사를 알아봄으로서 프랑스 플루트 음악이 어떻게 발전했는지 살펴보고자한다.|Freedom and the principle of equality that began from the French Revolution in 1789 became the spirit of the age of 19th century with settling into the bourgeoisie of each country. In this social circumstance, the rise of French music started with the establishment of French National Music Association devoted by Conservatoire National Sup rieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris(CNSMDP) professor Saint-Saens (Charles Camille Saint-Saens, 1835~1921) in 1871. This association started from the spirit of nationalism and tried to recover not only French musical characters but also excellence. As a member of French national music association, Gabriel Faure (1845~1924), who worked as the bridge between romanticism to impressionism and modern music, was a composer at the important position at that time. His works can be divided into 3 periods. In his first period, when he went to Niedermeyer music school, he started to compose a short composition by piano using lyrical melody without much technique. With unity, He composed them with being based on Salon style which was one of the French traditions. In his second period, He developed French musical color and special composition technique while he was working as a member of French music association. During the last period of his works, his music can be characterized by the fact that his consecution varied, and transition, chromatic scale, sequence, a whole tone were used in his works. France that accepted renewed Boehm's style flute for the first time established itself as the highest position in the flute music industry with study of technical skill by flute professors and the stabilization of the system. In this thesis, I would like to take a look at the work of Gabriel Faure which seemingly affected impressionism and succeeded to the French tradition, and the characteristics of his music by analyzing one of his works "Sicilienne op.78" and "Flute Fantasy op. 79."
