Violin 활의 변천과정과 그에 따른 운궁법에 대한 사적고찰

Abstract

바이올린은 16세기초에 이탈리아에서 만들어진 이후 현재에 이르기까지 아름다운 음색과 풍부한 음량, 그리고 표현의 무한한 가능성 및 그 기술적 역량 등의 우월함으로 인하여, 독주악기로서 뿐만 아니라 실내악 또는 교향곡 등의 기악음악에서 매우 중요한 역할을 해오고 있다. 이와 같이 바이올린이 서양음악사에서 주요 악기로서 역할을 담당하게 된 배경은 바로크 시대에 이탈리아의 여러 제작자들에 의해서 악기가 발전하게 되고, 이를 토대로 다양한 연주기법이 시도되어 소나타 또는 협주곡과 같은 독주 기악곡 양식이 활발하게 작?諍? 점에서 찾을 수 있다. 그러나 무엇보다도 투르트(F. Tourte, 1747-1835)에 의해서 새롭게 개량된 활의 발전은 바이올린 연주기법 발전에 많은 공헌을 하였으며, 활의 개량으로 인하여 기법은 매우 다양하게 되었다. 본 논문은 바이올린 활의 변천과정과 그 발전에 따라 생성된 연주기법 중 바이올린의 음색과 음량에 직접적으로 영향을 주는 운궁법에 대하여 연구하였다. 이것을 토대로 바이올린 연주자들이 현재 사용하고 있는 활 주법의 역사적인 과정을 이해하게 됨으로써, 더욱 더 올바르고 훌륭한 연주를 할 수 있도록 도움을 주는데 그 목적을 두고 있다. 바이올린의 운궁법에 대한 고찰에 있어서 먼저 바이올린 활의 구조에 대하여 알아보고, 바이올린 활의 변천 과정을 기원에서부터 근대에 이르기까지 역사적으로 살펴보게 될 것이다. 다음, 이와 같은 활의 변천 과정을 토대로 하여 운궁법이 어떻게 변화되었는지 고찰하게 될 것이다.|Ever Since Violin introduced from Italy in the early 16th century, the role of violin in music has been important due to its beautiful sound, abundant tone, the variety of sound expression. Violin is now used in all different music type such as Symphony, Chamber and Solo. Many violin makers in Baroque era remarkably developed the quality of violin and many different violin playing technique as well. We see many outstanding symphony and sonata composed in the era. F. Tourte(1747-1835) who was a bow maker remarkably developed the quality of violin bow and his contribution upgraded the violin bowing technique. The dissertation studied the development process of violin bow and the playing technique that strongly influences the violin sound and tone. In the study, strcture of bow, the bow making history form the origin to the contemporary era mentioned in detail. The study would help all musicians understand and figure the development process of violin bow and contribute to their violin playing technique.
