「Track」의 이미지에 관한조형화 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 시간의 흐름에 따른 생의 약동을 흔적으로 재해석한 본인의 작품「Track」연작에 관한 연구이다. 지구상의 모든 생명체들은 타고난 고유의 형태로 정지되어 있는 것이 아니라 시간의 흐름에 따라 성장하고 변화한다. 시간의 흐름에 따른 생의 약동이라는 작업 모티브는 우연히 마주친 해변 모래사장에 펼쳐진 서해 비단고둥(Umbonium thomasi, 밤고둥과)［도판1］의 정경에서 비롯되었다. 본인은 이를 계기로, 하나의 대상을 응고된 상태로 조형화하기 보다는 그것이 내포하고 있는 생의 약동을 시각화하여 보는 이로 하여금 그것의 생명력을 느끼게 하고자 했다. 이 같은 시도가 바로「Track」연작이다. 생의 약동은 주지하다시피, 시간의 흐름을 통해 가능하다. 따라서 본인은 시간의 흐름을 본 작품에서 시각화해야만 했다. 이를 위해 본인은 우선적으로 생명력을 내포하고 있는 형태에 대한 연구가 필요하였고 다음으로 시간의 흐름에 따른 생의 약동을 가시화할 수 있는 표현을 찾아야 했다. 이 연작에서는 생명의 에너지를 상징하기 위한 형태로 씨앗을 채택했고, 형태의 표면 위에 선으로 혹은 기단 대신 흐름을 나타내는 물결 형태를 통한 ‘흔적’으로 시간의 흐름에 따른 생의 약동을 제시했다. 「Track」연작은 관람자에게 씨앗이라는 생명의 원형을 통해 자연이 지닌 강한 생명력을 전달하고 하고 있다. 아울러 그것은 우리 주변의 자연물이 단지 정지된 상태가 아닌 시간의 흐름에 따라 우리 인간과 같이 약동하고 있음을 ‘흔적’이라는 장치를 통해 시각화하고 있다. 본인의 작품에서 시간의 흐름에 따른 생의 약동을 조형하는 과정에서 베르그송의 『창조적 진화』와 이재두의 『식물의 형태학』은 정신적 토대가 되었으며, 생의 약동을 선구자적으로 표현했던 작가인 아르프와 지도 교수님인 노재승의 작품의 형태적 특징은 본인 작품의 조형적 근거가 되었다. 제1장 서론에서는 연구의 목적과 연구내용 및 방법을 서술하였다. 제2장 형성 배경에서는 시간의 흐름에 따른 생명력의 약동을 조형화한 작품에 대한 정신적 토대와 조형적 근거에 대해 서술하였다. 제3장 결론에서는 본 논문의 내용을 정리하고 본인의 작업에 대한 방향을 제시하였다.|All lives in the existence of the earth moves and changes depend on the order of nature. The existence outset by tremor and live through each ones nature and balance. And these forms of characteristics exist. Due to the forms of the esthetic curiosity presents the living as a subject and makes this experience possible. The natural existence should be accepted and from the process of formative art, all plants of the mother's womb seeds have the strength and energy of life. And from this, I have rediscovered the trace of life. Discovering the trace of living existences gain the trace of my life and have been revaluated. These sources of the images of the pregnancy seeds of fetal movement have been introduced to all my works as a main element for the nature of living existence. Also the aspiration of life is the main theme of my works which is the purpose to dip up the inner images. This prototype of life forms reconciles the method of existence and actively has been expressed. Chapter1 The introduction describes the study of purpose and content the method of presentation. Chapter2 he main subject expresses the life trace of nature through todays society and analysis the form. Chapter3 The conclusion organizes the content and the direction of my works.
