R. Schumann의 Kreisleriana Op.16에 관한 연구

Abstract

음악사에 있어서 낭만주의란 개념은 이성, 객관성, 합리성 이라는 보편적 이념 을 추구한 18세기의 고전주의에 대하여 감정,주정성,환상성이 라는 개성적 체험을 중시한 19세기의 음악적 경향을 가르키는 것이다. 낭만주의 성격소곡은 이런 경향에 가장 적합한 장르로서 이들 성격소곡은 감상적이며 때로는 몽상적인 음악적 감성을 표현했고 고전주의 형식 에 서 벗어나 자유롭고 서정적인 측면을 강조하여 작곡하였다. 본 논문에서는 먼저 성격소곡의 의미와 역사를 살펴보았다. 또 성격소곡이 가장 활발히 쓰여진 낭만시대의 작곡가 '슈베르트', '멘델스존' '쇼팽', '슈만'의 성격소곡의 특징을 각각 살펴보았다. 이들 성격소곡은 선율,조성,화성,리듬에 있어서 낭만주의적 특징들을 제시하고 있다. 그중 슈만의 성격소곡들은 문학과 연결된 표제음악이라는 점에서 특이하다. 그의 작품중 모음곡 형식의 환상곡 Kreisleriana op.16은 슈만 의 최대 걸작으로 E.T.A Hoffmann(1766-1825)의 소설에 영감을 받아 작곡되었다. 각 곡의 형식은 A-B-A 3부 형식과 Rondo 형식으로 되어있다. 각곡은 슈만의 이중적 내면세계를 나타내는 Florestan과 Eusebius 의 대비된 성격을 빠르기, 강약, 분위기의 대조를 통해 잘 표현하고 있다. 곡의 주제음형과 리듬?? 반복되며 발전해 나가고 반음계, 잦은 전조, 화성변화가 낭만주의적 음악의 특성을 잘 보여준다. 본 논문은 슈만의 성격소품 Kreisleriana Op.16을 분석함으로서 낭만주의적 음악 특성을 알아보려 한 것이다. Kreisleriana op.16은 서로 대비되는 8곡을 통해서 슈만 특유의 어법과 낭만주의 음악적 요소를 잘 보여주는 곡이다.|Romanticism in a history of music refers to the nineteenth century's musical tendency towards emotionalism, emotivism, and fantasism that are accentuated by an individual's experience. Romanticism defies against the eighteenth century's music that pursuits general ideology of rationalism, objectivism, and logical positivism. Character pieces of the romantic era represent the genre of music in the most defining ways. These character pieces escaped from a classical formality to express sentimental and sometimes dreamlike states of human feelings with exceptionally free and lyrical composition techniques. The true meanings of character pieces in the history of music are carefully observed in this paper. Also, the distinctive features of the character pieces by the romanticist composers like Schubert, Mendelssohn, Chopin, Schumann are examined and analyzed. These character pieces present the distinctive features in their melodie, key, harmonie, and rhythm. Among the many character pieces in the era, Schumann's character pieces are distinguished for his program music in relations with literature. Kreisleriana Op.16, a fantasia, one of Schumann's greatest masterpieces was inspired by E.T.A Hoffmann(1766~1825)'s novel and composed as a suite. Each composition is in an A-B-A form of three parts and a Rondo form. They represent Schumann's inner world in dualism. The dramatic contrast of Florestan and Eusebius is expressed with contrasting tempo, dynamic, and mood in the music. The theme figure and rhythm is replicated and developed while chromatic scale, frequent modulation, harmony change display the distinctive features of romantic music. This paper is intended to explore the distinctive features of romantic music by an in-depth analysis of Kreisleriana Op.16, the Schumann's character piece. Kreisleriana Op.16 shows Schumann's characteristic expression technique and elements of romantic music through its eight contrasting compositions.
