R.Schumann 의 Fantasiestucke Op.12 의 연구

Abstract

슈만(Robert Schumann, 1810-1856)은 독일 낭만주의 음악을 대표하는 작곡가 중 한 사람으로 피아니스트, 작곡가, 평론가, 지휘자 등으로 활동하면서 낭만주의 음악의 흐름에 많은 영향을 끼치게 된다. 그가 활동한 19세기는 모든 면에서 개혁의 기운이 팽배했고 사회적으로는 근대 사회로의 변환이 시도 되었던 시기였다. 예술에 있어서 전 시대가 추구했던 객관성, 합리성 보다는 인간의 본능과 감정에 충실하고자 하는 낭만주의가 출현했고 이러한 낭만주의적 교류는 음악에도 영향을 미치게 되었으며, 서정성과 환상성, 회화성, 사실주의적 요소들이 음악에 직접적으로 표현되었다. 슈만은 문학의 영향을 받아 음악과 문학과의 새로운 연결을 시도하였다. 그는 1830년부터 10여 년간에 걸쳐 많은 피아노 음악을 작곡 하였는데, 특히 성격소품(Character Piece)은 그의 음악에 있어 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있다. 슈만의 성격소품은 형식이 단순하고 내용은 자유로우며 슈만 자신의 상상, 이상, 감정, 환상 등이 모두 표현되어 있다. 슈만의 많은 성격소품 중 하나인 <환상소곡집(Fantasiest?cke Op.12)>은 1837년 작곡되었고, 독립성을 가진 8개의 시적인 표제를 지닌 일종의 모음곡 형식의 곡이다. 슈만의 낭만성을 표현하는 특징들이 복잡한 리듬구조와 단편적이고 시적인 선율, 화성의 변화와 대위법적 모방에 따른 내성의 충실함으로 곡 전체에 나타난다. 이 곡은 고도의 기술적 연주와 풍부한 음악적 상상력이 요구되는 곡이다. 본 논문에서는 성격소품(Character Piece)의 의미와 발전 과정, 슈만의 생애와 슈만 성격소품의 특징을 연구하고, 슈만의 대표작 <환상소곡집(Fantasiest?cke Op.12)>을 형식과 선율, 화성 및 조성, 리듬 등으로 분석하였다.|As one of composers representing German romantic music, Robert Schumann (1810-1856) was a pianist, composer, critic and conductor, and influenced on the flow of romantic music. When he worked in the 19th century, there was a growing tendency to reform all aspects, and attempt to change into modern society. In arts, romanticism trying to be faithful to human instinct and feeling was appeared rather than objectivity and rationality pursued by former ages. This romantic exchange influenced on even music, and factors of lyricism, fantasy, picturesque, and realism were directly expressed on music. Being influenced by literature, Robert Schumann tried to make a new connection between music and literature. He composed much piano music for about 10 years since 1830. Especially Character Piece holds an important place in his music. Its form is simple, and the content is liberal. In addition, his imagination, ideal, feeling, and fantasy is well expressed in the music. One of Robert Schumann's many Character Pieces, <Fantasiest?cke Op.12> was composed in 1837, is a kind of suit with eight independent poetic titles. Features expressing his romanticism are seen with complex rhythmic structure, fragmentary and poetic melody, change of harmony, and substantiality of inner part by imitative counterpoint from the whole music. This suite needs advanced technical performance and abundant musical imagination. This study researched the meaning and developmental process of the Character Piece, Robert Schumann's life, and the features of the Character Piece, and analyzed form, melody, harmony, tonality, and rhythm of his masterpiece, <Fantasiest?cke Op.12>.
