RENEWAL : 부활메세지의 현대적 형상표현 연구

Abstract

미술의 발생 과정은 종교적 감성과 밀접한 관계가 있다. 구석기 시대의 원시인들은 자연 숭배의 형태로 주술적 성격의 동굴 벽화를 그리기 시작했고 고대사회에서도 모든 사회적 요소들이 종교적 형태로 표현되어 이집트의 피라미드, 그리스의 신전 등 모든 문화적 요소들이 종교적 감성으로 작품화되었다. 서양 미술 역시 그리스도교라는 종교를 중심으로 전개되었으며, 유럽 미술은 그 시작부터 그리스도교를 위해 존재했다고 말할 수 있다. 이렇듯 근대 이후의 순수 미술이나 동양의 화조 산수화 등을 제외하고는 대개의 미술품이 종교 미술의 성격을 띠었다고 할 수 있다. 신(神)의 영광을 찬미하고, 문맹의 민중을 위한 도상(圖像) 미술로써 역할을 하고 또한 신자(信者)들의 종교 감정을 고양(高揚)시키고자 했던 그리스도교 미술의 목적은 현재에 와서는 작가의 작품 세계와 결부되어 좀더 자유로운 형식과 창의적 방법에 의해 광의(廣義) 적인 의미로 다양하게 보여지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 그리스도교의 신앙의 근간인 '예수 부활'을 통해서 새롭게 태어나는 자아의 모습을 형상화하여 표현하고자 하였다. 부활의 성서(聖書)적, 교의(敎義)적 의미를 묵상(默想)하고 부활의 현재적 의미를 찾은 후 본인에게 있어서 부활은 어떤 의미를 갖게 되는지를 다양하고 상?÷岵? 소재로 나타내었다. 본인에게 있어 부활 신앙의 의미는 'renewal' 즉, 새로 태어나고픈 간절한 소망이다. 이러한 소망은 예수님의 죽음과 부활을 통해 새로운 삶을 살아갈 수 있는 힘과 용기를 얻어 이루어지게 되는 것이다. 위의 내용을 형상화하기 위해 본 연구에서는 먼저 종교와 미술의 상관관계를 통해 서양 미술사의 근간을 이루어 온 그리스도교 미술의 의의(意義)를 알고 본 연구의 중심인 부활의 성서적, 신앙적 의미를 이해한 후 본인 작품에서 나타내려고 하는 부활의 의미를 형태적, 색채적, 전례적 상징을 통해 표현하고자 한다. 마지막으로 작품 전반적으로 쓰인 주요 염색 기법과 반응성 염료 및 그 외 작품 제작에 대한 설명으로 본 연구를 마무리 하고자 한다. 본인의 이러한 작업으로 인해 오늘을 살아가는 그리스도 인들이 예수 부활의 진정한 의미를 알고 그 의미가 각자의 삶에서 승화되어지기를 간절히 소망하는 바이다.|The generation course of fine art has close relation with religious sensitivity. The primitives of the Old Stone Age started to draw the cave mural of incantational character into the form of nature worship. And, in ancient society also, as all the social elements were expressed into religious form, all the cultural elements such as the Pyramid of Egypt and the shrine of Greece etc. were made into works with religious sensitivity. It can be said that Western fine art was unfolded centering around the religious to be Christianity and that European fine art existed for Christianity from the beginning. It can be said that most works of fine art showed the character of fine art of religion except the pure fine art after modern times or the flowers and birds and landscape painting of the Orient etc. The goal of fine art of Christianity which tried to glorify the glory of god, play the role of fine art on the map for illiterate populace and sublimate the religion feeling of believers is being shown diversely in a broad sense through a little more free form and creative method by being connected with the work world of artists now. In this study, this researcher tried to express the form of ego to be born newly through the resurrection of Jesus to be the basis of Christian faith by formalizing it. This researcher showed which meaning the resurrection in me gets to have with diverse and symbolical materials, after meditating the Biblical and doctrinal meaning of resurrection and finding the current meaning of resurrection. The meaning of resurrection faith in me is the earnest wish to want to be born newly, that is, renewal. This wish gets to be achieved by obtaining the power and courage to be able to lead new life through the death and resurrection of Jesus. In this study, this researcher tried to express the meaning of resurrection to try to show in my work through formal, color, and ceremonial symbol after knowing the meaning of Christian fine art which has formed the basis of Western fine art history and understanding the Biblical and religious meaning of resurrection which is the center of this study through the correction between religion and fine art so as to make above contents into form. Lastly, this researcher will complete this study with the main dyeing technique and reactive dyestuff used over the whole of works and the explanation for the manufacture of work. I hope that Christians to live today may know the true meaning of resurrection of Jesus and that the meaning may be sublimated in the life of each one by my this work earnestly.
