「Panorama」를 통한 자아 정체성 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 2007년 제작된 본인의 작품【Panorama】시리즈를 대상으로 작품의 전개 과정에서 표현하고자 했던 주요 내용과 그 제작방법에 관해 연구 분석한 것이다. 20세기 이후 한국사회는 산업화의 가속화로 인해 물질의 번영을 이루었으나 반면 물질만능주의, 인간존재의 파편화 등으로 인해 점차 인간의 정신적 측면보다는 물질에 더 큰 가치를 부여하게 되었고 그 결과 사회의 여러 가지 한계 상황으로부터 때론 인간은 욕망의 갈등과 모순 속에서 자아의 정체성을 상실해 가기도 한다. 본인은 이러한 시대적 배경 속에서 인간이 어떻게 예술작품을 통해 상실된 자아 정체성을 되찾을 수 있는가를 모색하게 되었으며 인간의 형상을 파노라마와 같은 형식으로 펼쳐 한 눈에 모든 면을 관찰할 수 있도록 함으로써 인간의 본질을 이해 하고자 하였다. 제 1장 서론에서는 본고의 연구 목적과 연구 방법, 그리고 연구의 범주에 대해 서술 하였다. 제 2장 본론에서는 1. 자아 정체성의 사회학적, 철학적 접근을 통한 정체성의 모색과 인간의 본질을 작품【Panorama】시리즈에 대한 연구 배경으로 서술하였다. 2. 3차원적 객체를 이차원적 부조로 제작한 이론적 설명과 본인의 시각에 대한 철학을 정리하였다. 3. 본인의 작품【Panorama】시리즈의 제작기법과 재료, 제작 의도를 연구, 분석 하였다. 제 3장 결론에서는 본 논문의 개괄적인 정리 및 정체성의 모색뿐만 아니라 본인의 작품의 진행 방향에 대한 연구 의지를 밝혔다.|This study shows an analyses of the main idea that was intended from the development of the process and the method focused on the series of artistic work【panorama】which was made in 2007. Korean society have achieved national prosperity through the onrush of industrialization but on the other hand the material values have become more valuable than spiritual values because of materialism and fragmented human existence. As a result, humans desire began to lose their sense of self-identity in complication and contradiction from a critical situation. Based on background above, I began to search for a way to find the lost sense of self-identity through arts in these days and tried to understand the essence of human nature by spreading a human figure like a panorama and observing its every side at once. In chapter 1, the introduction describes the purpose, methods and categories of the study. Chapter 2, The main subject. 1 . Description of the background of the series of work 【panorama】 through sociological and philosophical approach of self-identity. 2 . Readjustment of the theoretical explanation and my philosophical thoughts of manufacturing a three-dimensional object into a two-dimensional embossed sculpture. 3 . Description of manufacturing methods, materials, study and analyses of the manufacturing purpose. In chapter 3, the conclusion shows a summary of this study, my purpose of searching self-identity and my will for studying the direction of the work.
