Manuel de Falla의 "Siete Canciones Populares Espanolas"에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 파이야(Falla, Manuel de. 1876-1946)의 ＜7개 스페인 민요(Siete canciones populares espan~olas)＞에 대한 연구이다. 스페인에서는 관현악법의 대가로 알려진 파이야의 대표적 성악곡으로서, 파리 유학기(1907-1914년)의 말년, 1914년에 스케치하여 귀국 후 1915년에 완성하였다. 이 작품이 나오기까지 파이야에게 영향을 미쳤던 스페인 민족주의 사상을 서술하였고 이어서 파이야의 삶을 5기로 나누어 분기별로 작품의 특성과 생애를 실었다. 또한 스페인 각 지방의 민요들은 춤을 동반하고 있는 경우가 많으므로 그 춤의 양식을 알아보고 그 때 당시 반주하였던 악기들의 연주, 특히 기타의 특성을 살피면서 피아노로 반주하면서 적용해야 할 부분들을 찾아보았다. 그리고 같은 지방에서 불리어졌던 민요의 악보를 찾아 비교하고 더불어 닌(Joaqui´n Nin, 1879-1949)의 ＜20개의 스페인 민요(Veinte cantos populares espan~olas)＞ 작품 중 그 곡의 배경이 서로 같은 곡, 파뇨 모루노(Pan~o Moruno), 아스뚜리아나(Asturiana), ?５?(Jota), 폴로(Polo)를 비교하면서 공통된 특성들을 찾아보았다. 스페인 각 지방의 민요를 소재로 작곡하였기 때문에 스페인의 음악적 바탕 즉, 고유 리듬이나 선법, 선율의 특징 등을 알 수 있는 좋은 계기가 될 수 있으며, 반주의 형태가 각 곡마다 일정한 리듬으로 반복되는 단순한 형태를 갖고 있으나, 각 지방마다 다른 음악적 특징들을 알아보면서 파이야의 ＜7개 스페인 민요＞ 뿐 아니라 스페인의 민요를 소재로 하는 다른 성악곡을 반주 할 때에도 작은 도움이 되길 바란다.|This dissertation displays a study on "Siete canciones populares espan~olas", one of the most famous songs of Manuel de Falla.(1876-1946) Falla, who is well known as a master of orchestration in Spain, commenced the sketching of this tune during the last year of his studying in Paris(1907-1914) and completed it upon his return in 1915. This paper is a review on Spanish Nationalism that influenced Falla to conceive of this tune, along with a study that looks into the features of his work in the five main stages of his lifetime. Since Spain's various regional folk music usually has its own peculiar dance, a review of the dance style of this song has also been included. Furthermore, while looking into the performance features of the instruments(esp. the guitar) used for accompaniment, certain traits that should be applied to piano accompaniment have also been accounted for. In addition to comparing the notes of other folk music from the same region, a comparison in search of common characteristics with Joaqui´n Nin (1879-1949) "Pan~o Moruno, Asturiana, Jota, Polo", a piece from "Veinte cantos populares espan~olas", which shares the same background as Siete canciones populare espan~olas, has also been made. As it was composed based on the various regional folk music of Spain, Falla's "Siete canciones populare espan~olas" provides a great opportunity to learn about Spanish musical backgrounds, namely, the unique rhythms and distinctions in melody. Although the accompaniment shows a simple form of repetitive rhythm in each song, this paper nonetheless offers some help in understanding not only these seven songs written by Falla, but others that are based on Spanish folk music by going over the musical characteristics of each region.
