Johannes Brahms의 가곡 ｢Zigeunerlieder Op.103｣에 대한 분석과 반주연구

Abstract

본 논문은 요하네스 브람스(Johannes Brahms, 1833-1897)의 가곡작품인 <Zigeunerlieder Op.103>을 분석하여 독일낭만 가곡으로부터 이어지는 브람스 가곡과 헝가리 집시음악의 특징을 고찰한 것이다. 브람스는 보수적일만큼 견고한 구성으로 독일 음악의 전통을 표현하고 있지만 그 안에 낭만적 작곡기법을 가미하여 풍부하고 다양한 감정도 보여주고 있다. 그는 민중의 의견을 가치 있게 여겼으며 민속가곡에 많은 관심을 가지고 평생을 통해 이 곡을 포함한 100여곡에 달하는 민속가곡과 동요를 정리하였다. 19세때 헝가리출신의 바이올린 연주자 레메니(Eduard Reményi, 1828-̴1898)를 통해 헝가리 집시풍의 선율을 접하게 되면서 그의 음악적 방향에 큰 전환점을 맞이하게 된다. <Zigeunerlieder Op.103>은 브람스가 수집한 헝가리 민요집 가사중 독일어로 번역한 것을 사용하여 그만의 독창적인 기법으로 작곡한 순수 창작물이다. 이 작품은 낭만주의에서 주로 쓰인 부속화음과 비화성음, 전조를 통해 색채감과 집시만의 자유로움이 느껴지도록 함과 동시에 각 곡마다 긴밀한 연관성을 보이며, 그만의 독특한 작품을 만들었다. 본 논문에서는 헝가리 집시들의 문화적 배경을 바탕으로 희노애락을 담은 가사, 언어적 특징으로 인해 첫박 강세가 오는 부점리듬과 민속춤리듬, 집시들의 타현악기가 성악부와 반주부에 어떻게 표현되고 있는지를 연구하였다. | This is the paper about the study of Ziegeunerlieder Op.103 by Johannes Brahms. Ziegeunerlieder Op.103 has contained the distinct features of Hungarian Gypsy Music and the characteristics of Braham's song that inherited the traditional Romantic German song as well as contained Brahms' special originality. Brahms is not only clinging to tradition of Germany Classic Music with the strong belief in musical form but also applying the new technique of Romantic harmonic system to his music. He considered a folk song that made people's opinions with a lot of attention to this song over a lifetime, including nearly 100 songs, folk songs and nursery rhymes were organized. At the age of 19, A big turning point had come to his musical life through Hungarian violinist (Eduard Reményi, 1828-1898) who gave an idea with the melody of the Hungarian Gypsy style. <Zigeunerlieder Op.103> is the song that Brahms, who collected the Hungarian folk songs and translated into German version, composed for his pure creation. This paper is about how he completed his work to spread the feeling of characteristic and willing, that only Gypsy have, through his own harmony, nonharmonic tone, and modulation which are used usually in Romanticism to feel . Also, there is a specific connection between each of these songs <Zigeunerlieder Op.103> is expressed more effectively with Hungarian linguistic characteristic at the beginning of the song through dotted rhythms that contains a accent at the first beat, and piano part with specific feelings of percussion and string instrument of gypsy.
