J. Brahms의 Piano Sonata No. 3. Op. 5의 분석연구

Abstract

요하네스 브람스(Johannes Brahms, 1833-1897)가 태어나 살았던 19세기 후반은 음악사적으로 볼 때 후기 낭만주의 시기였으나, 그의 작품은 고전주의적 양식에 입각한 전통적인 형식을 중시하는 신고전주의 특징을 지니고 있다. 그의 음악적 기법은 전통적인 고전주의 형식과 구성을 기본으로 주 선율을 각 악장마다 연관시켜 나타내면서 복합리듬, 헤미올라 등 다양한 리듬형태와 박자, 속도, 엑센트의 변화 등으로 표현함으로써 확대시켜 나갔다. 본 논문은 고전주의적 소나타기법을 바탕으로 하는 낭만주의 형식과 그 기법을 표현한 브람스의 피아노 소나타에 제 3번 Op. 5에 나타난 특징적 요소들을 살펴보았다. 브람스 피아노 소나타 제 3번에 구성은 제 1악장은 소나타 형식, 제 2악장은 코다가 포함된 복합 3부 형식, 제 3악장은 ABA의 스케르초형식을 보이며, 제 3악장과 제 5악장 피날레 사이에 인터메쪼를 포함하여 총 5악장의 구성 형태를 보이고 있다. 브람스 피아노 소나타 제 3번을 연구함으로써 각 악장의 구성과 선율과의 연관성, 화성, 음계, 리듬 등에서 브람스의 음악적 특성을 찾을 수 있고 고전주의와 낭만주의가 조화된 그의 독창적인 음악세계를 파악할 수 있었다.|Late in the 19th century, when Johannes Brahms lived, the musical history was Romanticism but, his works have Neoclassical characteristics with value of the traditional forms, based on the classical forms. He enlarged his musical techniques by exepressing various rhythmical forms such as polyrhythm and Hemiola, and the variation of meter, tempo, and accent, correlating the main melody with each movement based on traditional classical forms and structures. This thesis studied and analyzed distinctive elements in Brahms' piano sonata, the "Sonata No.3 Op.5.", showing the Romanticism forms and techniques based on the classical sonata. Brahms piano sonata No.3 consists of 5 movements; the 1st movement is taking the sonata form, the 2nd is a ternary form including coda, the 3rd is a scherzo form of ABA, and intermezzo was inserted between the 3rd and the 5th, finale. Studying Brahms piano sonata No.3 enables us to understand his originative view of music that Classicism and Romanticism were mixed, and to find his musical traits in the structure of each movement and the relation of melody, harmony, scale, and rhythm.
