G.Puccini의 오페라 《La Bohéme》에 나타난 사실주의적 요소에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 19세기 베리즈모(Verismo-사실주의,현실주의)오페라 작곡가 자코모 푸치니(Giacomo Puccini,1858-1924)의 Opera「La Bohe｀me」의 사실주의적 요소에 관한 연구이다. 푸치니의 장점은 무대에 치중한 극으로써,정경묘사(배경 또는 사건)와 인물묘사가 뛰어나다. 본 논문에서 다룰 《Opera「La Bohe｀me」》은 푸치니 오페라 총 11개의 작품 중 3번째로 만들어진 곡으로,「보헤미안들의 생활정경(Sce｀nesde la ViedeBohe｀me)」이라는 앙리 뮈르제의 소설을 바탕으로 자코사와 일리카의 대본 작업 하에 1895년 12월 10일에 완성된 작품이다.또한 이 작품은 레온카발로(Ruggiero Leoncavallo,1858-1919)의 「Cavalleria Rusticana」와 마스카니(Pietro Mascagni,1863-1945)의「Pagliacci」와 더불어 베리즈모 오페라의 대표작으로 손꼽힌다. 서론에서는 연구의 목적과 방법을 제시하고 본론은 베리즈모의 간략한 음악의 흐름과 19세기 다른 사실주의 오페라의 보편적 특징을 살펴보고자 한다.또한 《Opera「LaBohe｀me」》에 다른 베리즈모 오페라들의 보편적 특징을 대입시켜 사실적 요소들을 찾아 볼 것인데,이 작업을 통하여 《Opera「LaBohe｀me」》이 사실주의적 작품이 됨을 다시 한번 증명하고,그로 인해 다른 시대의 작품들과는 차별화된 색깔로 표현되었음을 알 수 있도록 한다.이 연구를 통해 나타난 사실주의적 요소는 배우나 관객들이 극 중에서의 감정을 함께 공유하고,《Opera「La Bohe｀me」》에 있어서 현실적인 느낌을 표현하는 데 매우 중요한 특징이 된다.|This paper is a study of the elements of the opera "La Bohe｀me" by 19th century Verismo (realism) opera composer Giacomo Puccini (1858-1924). Puccini emphasized on stage through his exceptional description of the scenery and portrayals of the characters. "La Bohe｀me", the third of 11 operas composed by Puccini, was completed on December 10, 1895. The libretto, written by Luigi Illica and Giuseppe Giacosa, was based on the novel "Scenes of the life of Bohemia(Sce｀nes de la Vie de Bohe｀me)” by Henry Murger. This Opera is a representative of Verismo along with "Cavalleria Rusticana" by Ruggiero Leoncavallo(1858-1919) and "Pagliacci” by Pietro Mascagni (1863-1945). I will present the purpose and methods of this study in the introduction and then briefly examine the development of Verismo style and the general characteristics shared by other 19^(th) century Verismo operas. The characteristics of other Verismo operas will be substituted into the opera "La Bohe｀me" to find its elements. This work will validate once again that "La Bohe｀me" is a masterpiece of Verismo Opera and it presents outstanding technigue, compare to the different works of the differente era. The elements of Verismo that are found through this research are very important features for the expression of the sense of Verismo in Puccini’s music and for the actors and the audience to share the emotion during the performance.
