F. P. Schubert의 연가곡《Die schöne Müllerin》(D.795)의 반주 연구와 예술적 분석

Abstract
Franz Peter Schubert (1797-1828), a composer of the 19th century German romantic period established an independent genre of Kunstlied which combined German romantic lyric poetry and music.
He composed over 600 songs using various lyric poems of poets and literary artists of that time. Schubert expressed poems from poets such as Goethe, Schiller, Heine, Klopstock, Hölty, Matthisson and Müller and poems of literary artists like, Schober and Mayrhofer into his own music.
Romantic composers along with Schubert wrote songs to lyric poems, which established the genre called ‘song cycle’, as well as Kunstlied. Schubert left three song cycles that were based on the works of poets from his time period.
From Schubert’s three song cycles, his first, 《Die schöne Müllerin》 uses Wilhelm Müller’s (1794-1827) poem who was a late romantic poet. Müller writes the lyrics of “Die schöne Müllerin” in which he is the main character, at a salon in Berlin where song plays were in trend. The lyrics of “Die schöne Müllerin” became the text of 《Die schöne Müllerin》.
This thesis will look into Schubert’s first song cycle, 《Die schöne Müllerin》(D.795). Firstly, see through, the characteristics of Schubert’s songs and three song cycles, the background and story of Müller’s original poem and 《Die schöne Müllerin》, and the general context of the poem including the five poems that were eliminated from the original. Furthermore, examine the important existence of the connection between the ‘stream’ and the main character, and analyze the musical relationship of the two. Last but not least, analyze Schubert’s musical structure and form in according to the contents categorized by the lyrics, also the melody, rhythm, tonality, chord, and the techniques and expressions in the vocal and accompaniment that maximized the poetic effects of the music.
