F. P. Schubert의 Die Schöne Müllerin op.25 반주 분석 연구

Abstract

슈베르트(Franz Peter Schubert, 1797∼1828)는 19세기 독일 낭만주의의 위대한 음악가중 한 사람으로서 짧은 생애에도 불구하고 600여곡의 가곡을 비롯하여 교향곡, 실내악곡, 피아노곡 등을 포함하는 1200여곡의 많은 작품을 남겼다. 그는 아름답고 힘찬 표현을 담은 선율과 묘사적 피아노 파트의 사용 등으로 낭만주의 예술가곡의 위치를 확립시켰다. 또한 슈베르트는 가사의 내용을 화성과 반주를 통해 부각시킬 뿐만 아니라 종종 전주를 통해 곡의 분위기를 제시하였다. 슈베르트 연가곡집중 첫 작품으로 뮐러(Wilhelm Müller, 1794∼1827)의 시를 바탕으로 1823년에 작곡된 「아름다운 물방앗간 아가씨(Die Schöne Müllerin, Op.25 D.795)」는 방앗간 주인의 아름다운 딸을 사랑했으나 실연하여 정처 없이 여행을 떠난 방앗간의 청년이 결국 강물에 몸을 던진다는 내용을 가진 작품으로 총 20곡으로 구성되어 있는 이야기 줄거리가 뚜렷한 연가곡이다. 이것은 슈베르트로서도 처음 낸 연가곡집이지만 낭만파 시대에 처음 출판된 연가곡집이기도 하다. 본 논문에서는 슈베르트의 생애와 가곡의 특성, 또한 「아름다운 물방앗간 아가씨」의 작곡 배경과 구성을 연구하고 더 나아가 시의 소재에 해당하는 인물의 심리, 사물 및 자연물에 따라서 반주의 조성(tonality), 다이나믹(dynamics), 템포(tempo), 아티큘레이션(articulation), 리듬(rhythm)등이 어떻게 다양하게 나타나는지에 대해서 연구한다. 또한 슈베르트의 연가곡에서 반주부의 역할과 연주 시 중점을 두어야 할 부분에 대하여 알아봄으로써「아름다운 물방앗간 아가씨」를 보다 폭 넓게 이해하고 피아노 반주의 실질적인 연주에 반영되고자 한다.|Schubert(Franz Peter Schubert, 1797∼1828) is known as one of the greatest composers of 19th century Romanticism in Germany. Despite his premature death at age 31, he is identified with his more than 1200 pieces of works including 600 or so songs, symphonies, chamber music, and piano sonatas. He truly paved the way toward the full flowing of Romantic art songs with his beautiful and passionate melody, descriptive piano part and so forth. Also, Schubert did not only bring the content of lyrics into relief with a harmony and a piano accompaniment but also set the mood of the work with introduction. 「Die Schöne Müllerin, Op.25 D. 795」, the first work among the Schubert's song cycles, is composed in 1823, set the poems of the Prussian poet Willhelm Müller(1794∼1827) to music. The cylce is group of love songs which story has a clear plot through the twenty songs in the cycle ; the protagonist fell in love with the daughter of the landlord of the water mill. However, he had a disappointment in his love with her, then he wandered from place to place. And finally he drowned himself to the river. This is Schubert's first song cycle, at the same time, the first song cycle of Romanticism. This thesis is on the biography of Schubert, the characteristics of his songs, the composing background and the musical structure. Furthermore it's on how the tonality of accompaniment, dynamics, tempo, articulation, and rhythm vary with characters, psychology, affairs and natural objects-the theme of the poem. And further, it's on the role of the accompaniment and where to give priority to in playing the piece. This understanding gives the broad comprehension of playing 「Die Schöne Müllerin」 and make the performance of piano accompaniment practical.
