E. Chausson의 가곡연구 : 「Sept Melodies」op.2를 중심으로

Abstract

프랑스는 1871년 프랑스 국민음악협회(The National Society for French Music)를 설립하여 민족주의의 뛰어난 특질을 의식적으로 회복시키려고 노력하였다. 이는 그 당시 유럽 음악의 주도적인 역할을 담당하고 있던 독일의 지배에서 벗어나고자한 노력이 표면에 나타난 것으로 프랑스의 부흥운동이 일어났다. 이때의 프랑스 음악부흥운동을 세 가지로 대별해보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, C.Franck(1822-1890)에 의해 발달이 되어 V.d'Indy (1851-1931)가 계승한 국제적인 전통이며, 둘째, C.Saint-Sae¨ns(1835-1921)와 그의 제자 G.U.Faure(1845-1924)등에 의해 계승된 프랑스적 전통이다. 셋째, 그 발단이 앞의 두 전통보다 늦어졌지만 그 영향은 훨씬 더 광범위한 것으로 나타난 C.A.Debussy(1862-1918)의 음악을 들 수 있다. 프랑스에서 음악부흥운동이 일어나고 음악, 미술등 예술분야에서 인상주의 색채가 드러난다. 인상주의 작가들은 친해지기 쉬운 일상적인 사건이나 광경, 정물, 바다의 경치등에 집중해 있었고, 감각적인 분위기, 인간의 감정을 직접적으로 표현하기 보다는 감정이 절제된 세련성등이 추구되?駭?. 동시대의 작곡가 Ernest Chausson(1855-1899)은 당시의 상징주의 시인들, 인상주의 화가들과 접촉하였으며 인상주의 기법과 인간의 감각적인 분위기에 영향을 받았으며, 그의 음악은 유동적이고 빈번한 전조, 반복되는 반주부의 구절, 지배적인 반음계의 사용, 막연히 확장된 화음을 기술적으로 표현한다. 본 논문은 Chausson의 초기가곡 「Sept Me´lodies」 op.2를 중심으로 ＜Nanny (나니)＞, ＜Le Charme(매력)＞, ＜Les Papillon터나비)＞, ＜La Demie´re Feuille(마지막 잎새)＞, ＜Se´re´nade Italienne(이탈리아 세레나데)＞, ＜Le Colibri(벌새)＞의 6곡을 연구대상으로 선정하여 Chausson의 음악적 세계를 심층적으로 연구하는 것이 목적이다. Chausson의 생애와 작품에 대해 간략하게 서술하였으며 시의 해석과 분석, 악곡의 전체적인 형식과 박자, 종지, 음역, 악상등의 변화를 연구 분석하였다. 또한 성악선율과 반주부와의 관계, 가사의 내용을 악곡에서 어떻게 표현하고 있는지 연구하였다. Chausson의 음악에서 나타나는 특징을 간략하게 서술하면 시에 있어서 남성운과 여성운이 교차되는 교차운의 완전한 정형시를 사용하였고, 성악선율에서는 이명동음전조와 반음계적 ?幣?, 순차진행, 동형진행이 사용되었으며 반주부에서는 7화음, 비화성음, 증음정등이 많이 사용되었고 반주 스타일은 ostinato의 사용등으로 Chausson 특유의 음악을 상징적으로 묘사했다.|At the end of the 19th century, the center of European culture was transferred from Germany to Paris in France. In this period, impressionism color is being revealed in art fields such as music and fine art etc. Impressionism artists were concentrating on daily event or scene, inanimate object, and scene of sea etc. which are easy to become familiar with, and the refined nature that feeling was moderate etc. was sought than expressing the sensible atmosphere and the feeling of human beings directly. Contemporary composer, Ernest Chausson(1855-1899) contacted with then symbolism poets and impressionism painters, and it seemed that he was influenced by impressionism technique and human sensible atmosphere. The music of Chausson expresses the mobile and frequent modulation, the phrase of accompaniment part to be repeated, the use of ruling chromatic scale, and vaguely expanded harmony descriptively. In this thesis, this researcher studied ＜Nanny＞, ＜Le Charme＞, ＜Les Papillons＞, ＜La Derniere Feuille＞, ＜Serenade Italienne＞, and ＜Le Colibri＞ centering around the song by Chausson, [Sept Melodies] op.2. This researcher described the lifetime and work of Chausson briefly and studied and analyzed the interpretation and analysis of poem, the whole form of music, and the change of rhythm, stop, compass, and theme etc. Besides, this researcher studied the relation between vocal music melody and accompaniment part and how music is expressing the contents of words. If we describe the feature to appear in the music of Chausson briefly, he used the complete fixed form of verse of cross rhyme that male rhyme and female rhyme are crossed in poem, used binominal homophony modulation, chromatic scale progression, order progression and same type progression in vocal music melody, used Ⅶ harmony, non-harmonic sound, and middle musical interval etc. Much in accompaniment part and described the music peculiar to Chausson symbolically with the use of ostinato form etc. in accompaniment style.
