C. P. E Bach의 건반악기 소나타(Clavier sonata)에 관한 연구 : Wurttemberg Sonata(wq.49) No.1과 No.3을 중심으로

Abstract

C. P. E, Bach(1714-1788)는 J. S Bach(1685-1750)의 둘째 아들로, 전 고전주의 시대를 대표하는 작곡가이다. 또한 18세기 중엽 북독일을 중심으로 생성된 감정 과다 양식(Empfindsamer Stil)의 주창자이기도 하다. 그의 전 고전주의 시대의 대표적인 작곡가로서의 면모는 건반악기 소나타(Clavier Sonata)작품에서 찾아 볼 수 있다. 그는 생애 전반에 걸쳐 150개 이상의 건반악기 소나타를 작곡하였는데 이 작품들은 18세기 건반악기 소나타 형식의 기틀을 확립하는 데 기여하였으며 또한 감정과다 양식의 음악적 특징을 담고 있다. 본 논문에서 연구되는 ＜뷔르템베르크 소나타 Wu¨rttemberg Sonatas Wq.49/1-6＞ 는 ＜프러시안 소나타 Prussian Sonatas Wq.48/1-6＞와 함께 그의 대표적인 작품이다. 이 작품은 그가 베를린에서 활동하였던 1742-1744년에 작곡되었는데 이 후에 작곡된 작품들에 비해 음악적 특징이 더욱 두드러지는 작품이다. 이 작품의 중요한 음악적 특징은 먼저 고전주의 시기에 완성된 소나타형식의 빠름- 느림- 빠름의 3악장 구성과 빠른 악장에서 나타나는 제시부, 전개부, 재현부의 3부분형식이 확립되었다는 점이다. 또한 건반악기의 특성을 살린 음악표현과 성악곡에서 주로 볼 수 있었던 다양한 감정표현을 건반음악에 잘 표현한 작품이다. ＜뷔르템베르크 소나타＞ 의 연구는 C. P. E. Bach의 건반음악에 대한 연구임과 동시에 그가 활동한 바로크와 고전주의를 잇는 전 고전주의 시대에서의 C. P. E. Bach의 역할을 정리해 볼 수 있다는 점에서 중요한 의미를 갖는다. 본 논문에서는 우선 ＜뷔르템베르크 소나타＞ 의 연구에 앞서 C. P. E. Bach의 음악활동과 그의 건반악기 소나타 작품 및 음악적 특징을 살펴보았다. 그리고 6개의 ＜뷔르템베르크 소나타＞ 중 형식과 내용면에서 뛰어난 No.1, No.3을 중심으로 연구하였다.|Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach(1714-1788), the second son of Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) is a representative composer in Pre-Classic Period. His Clavier Sonata explains the reason why he has become a representative composer of Pre-Classic Period. He composed over 150 Clavier Sonatas in all his life, which contributed to establishing a pivotal part of clavier sonata form in 18 century and have musical features of Empfindsamer Stil that had been generated centering around north Germany in the mid-18th century. Wu¨rttemberg Sonatas (Wq.49/1-6) which is going to be a key part in this thesis is a piece of his typical work with Prussian Sonatas (Wq.48/1-6) He made it while he had been active in Berlin from 1742 to 1744, Wu¨rttemberg Sonatas is considerably distinguished more than other works which were composed after this. Its important musical features are that it has the three movement composition of Fast-Slow-Fast completed at Classic Period in sonata form and establishing the form of exposition section, development section and recapitulation section which appears in first movement. Further more, His unique musical phraseology and style reflected in Empfindsamer Stil are well brought out in this work. This study regarding Wu¨rttemberg Sonatas has significant meaning from the point of view that help us to understand his music as well as can read just his role in the Pre-Classic period following the Baroque and Classic period when he was active. I researched his clavier sonatas with musical features and activity in the first place prior to the study of Wu¨rttemberg Sonatas and studied it with No.1 and No.3. as the central figure which includes 6 Wu¨rttemberg Sonatas.
