Claude Debussy 『첼로소나타(Cello sonata in d minor)』반주 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 20세기 음악 발전과 동시대 작곡가 및 후세 음악인들에게 가장 많은 영향을 끼쳤던 프랑스 작곡가 드뷔시(Claude Debussy : 1862-1918)의 첼로소나타(Cello Sonata in d minor)에 관한 연구이다. 이 곡은 그가 세상을 떠나기 3년 전인 1915년에 쓰인 그의 유일한 첼로 소나타로서 전 3악장으로 구성되었고 각 악장마다 각각 Prologue-Se´re´nade-Final의 부제를 갖고 있으며 고전주의적 양식과 낭만후기~초기 현대에 이르는 과도기적 시도들이 공존되어 있는 작품으로 특히 새로운 주법들을 통해 첼로의 새로운 가능성을 제시한 것으로 평가받는다. 본론을 전개해 나감에 있어 드뷔시의 그 어떤 작품을 논하더라도 결코 떼어놓을 수 없는 '인상주의'와의 관련성을 먼저 알아본 후 그의 전 생애를 통한 작품 활동에 관해 전반적으로 살펴보았고, 그 중 실내악 분야를 집중 조명해 드뷔시의 ＜첼로 소나타＞를 분석해 봄으로써 본 연구의 논제인 첼로소나타를 이해하는 첫 단계로 삼았다. 각 악장별 분석에 임할 때 연주를 전제로 한 피아니스트의 입장에서 작품을 바라보며 각 sectioll 별로 악보 예와 함께 잦은 템포변화, 다양한 지시어 등을 토대로 한 표현 방법을 중점적으로 연구해 보았다. 마지막으로 본 연구를 토대로 각 악장별 음악적 내용들을 통합 정리해 보면서 드뷔시 말년의 독자적인 작품세계를 조금이나마 엿볼 수 있는 계기가 되었다. 작게는 각 악장별로, 크게는 3악장 전곡을 파악한 후 연주에 임하는 자세나 작품을 대하는 느낌에 변화가 왔음을 실감하면서 이러한 연구의 과정이 작곡자의 숨은 의도에까지 접근하여 더 양질의 연주를 할 수 있는 밑거름이 된다는 깨달음을 통해 본 연구의 참 의미를 확인할 수 있었다.|This thesis is a study on Cello Sonata in d minor of the French composer, Claude Debussy (1862-1718), who influenced the most to the 20th century music development and other composers in his period as well as next generation of the musicians. This work is his only cello sonata consisting of 3 movements, composed in 1915, three years before he passed away, and each movement has a subtitle of Prologue, Serenade and Final, respectively, and also this work has classical style and attempts as a turning point from the latter period of Romanticism to the beginning of Contemporary style, and especially it is evaluated that the new rendition attempted u1 this work indicated a new possibility of cello. The body of this thesis firstly deals with relevance to Impressionism which can not be seperated from any of Debussy's work and then general work activities in his whole life, in particular by analyzing Cello Sonata of Debussy focusing on chamber music the first step was approached in order to understand the subject of this study, Cello Sonata. During analysis of each movement, the study focused on the expression methods based on frequent tempo changes and various directions in each section from a pianist' s point of view based on musical performance. In conclusion, this has been a good opportunity of glancing at the unique work in the last part of Debussy's life. After understanding each movement in a narrow way and the whole three movements in a broad way, the true significance of this study was understood by actual feeling change in the attitude to performance as well as work and by realizing that the approach of this kind of study process to the hidden intention of the composer could be a foundation of better quality of performance.
