C. A. Debussy의 가곡 「Ariettes Oubliées」의 반주 연구

Abstract

드뷔시(Claude Achille Debussy 1862-1918)는 19세기 낭만주의에서 20세기 현대음악으로 향하는 과도기적 인물로 인상주의 음악이라는 새로운 음악 양식을 만든 작곡가이다. 그는 당시 회화에서의 인상주의와 문학에서의 상징주의 어법을 음악에 도입시켜 기존의 독일 낭만주의의 조성, 화성, 리듬, 선율 등에서 탈피하여 음향, 색채, 분위기를 중시하는 인상주의 기법을 창조했다. 또한 드뷔시는 당시 문학 사조였던 상징주의 시인들과 교류하면서 그들의 시를 선택하여 인상주의 기법을 사용한 음악으로 표현하였다. 드뷔시는 베를레느(Paul Verlaine 1844-1896)의 시를 많이 선택하여 작곡하였다. 이는 베를레느 시의 음악적인 리듬감과 상징주의 기법이 드뷔시가 생각하는 암시적이고 모호한 분위기와 색채, 음의 뉘앙스 등 분위기를 묘사하는 인상주의 기법과 맞아 떨어졌기 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 베를레느의 「말없는 연가(Romances sans Paroles)」에서 6개의 시를 발췌하여 작곡한 「잃어버린 노래들(Arietees Oubliées)」을 중심으로 인상주의의 특징과 프랑스 가곡의 역사, 드뷔시에게 영향을 끼친 베를레느의 음악적 리듬과 시적 운율성, 드뷔시의 음악에 나타난 인상주의 기법에 대해 살펴보고 각각의 곡 분석을 통해 드뷔시의 인상주의 음악과 시의 연관성이 인상주의 음악을 표현하는데 있어 어떠한 기법과 특성이 나타나는지 연구·분석하였다. |Claude Achille Debussy (1862-1918), stands at the transition from 19th romanticism to 20th modernism. Debussy was the composer who first created a new form of music called, impressionism. At that period, Debussy adapted impressionism art and symbolism from literature to shed away from German romantic tonality, harmony, rhythm, melody and etc. and create impressionism which emphasized sound, tone and mood. Moreover, Debussy interacted with symbolic poetics at that time and chose their poems to express impressionism music. Debussy chose many of Paul Verlaine’s (1844-1896) poems to compose music. Verlaine’s poems’ musical rhythm and symbolic techniques went well with the dark and ambiguous mood of colors, sounds and etc. that impressionism techniques describe. This paper looks into 「Arietees Oubliées」 by Debussy, composed from selected six poems of Verlaine’s 「Romances sans Paroles」 to analyze the history of French songs, and the characteristics of impressionism. Furthermore, study Verlaine’s influence of musical and poetic rhythm, research; each of Debussy’s songs to find correlation between poetry and impressionism music, and the musical techniques used to express impressionism music for musicians that will play Debussy.
