Blended Learning기반 프로토콜 분석 학습시스템

Abstract

오늘날과 같이 급변하는 정보사회에서는 인터넷의 동작원리를 효과적으로 학습시키는 것이 IT 전문인에게 중요한 과제 중 하나이다. 그러나 대부분의 대학에서는 아직까지 교과서 중심의 이론 위주의 ‘컴퓨터 네트워크’ 교육이 실시되어 학생들의 학습 성취도가 높지 못한 것이 현실이다. 그런데 기업에서는 인터넷 기반의 어플리케이션 성능관리나 트래픽 분석을 위해 각 계층별 프로토콜을 분석해주는 프로토콜 분석기를 활용하는 것이 일반적이고 이는 대학 교육에서 인터넷 동작 원리를 충분히 학습시킬 것을 전제하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 교재위주의 이론수업과 프로토콜 분석기를 활용한 실습수업을 혼합시킨 새로운 ‘컴퓨터 네트워크’ 학습시스템을 제안하였다. 특히, 강의실에서 각 계층별 프로토콜의 동작원리를 강의할 때 마다 온라인으로 프로토콜 분석기를 사용하여 스스로 실습을 통해 학습 효과를 높일 수 있도록 Blended Learning기반의 컴퓨터 네트워크 학습 시스템을 설계 및 구성하였다. 그리고 ‘컴퓨터 네트워크’ 과목의 수업에 이 시스템을 활용한 결과 학생들의 이해도 증진에 좋은 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.|To teach the principle of the Internet operation effectively is one of the most important issues for IT professionals in a rapidly changing Information society nowadays. However most of colleges/ universities still provide their students only theoretical lectures on the principle via textbooks, which finally degrades the maturity of the students' learning. By the way it is a common situation to use protocol analyzers for ITM(Internet Traffic Management) or APM(Application Performance Management) in industries that anticipate their new employee have fully understood the principle when they have finished the higher education. Hence we proposed the Learning System of Protocol Analysis based on Blended Learning which combines both the off-line theoretical lectures and the on-line practicing the protocol analyzer to improve the maturity of Students' understanding. And we provided our students the learning environments and got the positive response from the experiment.
