문학적 내러티브를 활용한 교수-학습 방안

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 문학적 내러티브를 활용한 교수-학습 방안을 통해 공감과 감정이입 그리고 사회 문제에 대한 도덕적 논의 방안을 밝히고자 함이다. 이를 위해 문학적 내러티브의 의미를 규명하고 내용적 측면과 형식적 측면으로 구분하여 이론적 배경을 제시한다. 다음으로 난민소녀 리도희라는 문학 작품을 소재로 하여, 구체적인 문학적 내러티브의 교수-학습 방안의 사례를 제시한다. 수업은 3단계로 진행된다. 1단계는 등장하는 인물들 각각의 당사자 시점에서 내러티브를 전개한다. 2단계는 당사자들의 내러티브에 내재한 타당성을 찾아보도록 한다. 3단계는 작품에 드러나고 있는 사회적 문제를 인식하고 이에 대한 도덕적 논의를 통해 실천 가능한 규범을 도출해 보는 것이다.

This study aimed to enhance learners’ empathy, sympathy, and capacity for ethical discussion on social issues through teaching and learning based on literary narratives. The study expounds on the meaning of literary narratives and suggests a theoretical background for their content and formality. It proposes a detailed teaching and learning method based on the following premise: the work of literature is content; and the principles of discourse ethics and feasibility are the formal procedure. Teaching and learning using literary narratives unfold in three stages. First, the teacher selects a literature piece in which the story unfolds with a first-person perspective, relating to the characters’ situations. Next, the teacher explores each character’s feasibility within the story. Lastly, the teacher leads ethical discussions of the perceived social issues in the literary narrative and derives practicable norms to help the students create a virtuous society and a better life based on a community bond.
