과학캠프 활동이 초ㆍ중학생들의 과학에 대한 태도에 미치는 영향

Abstract

이 연구의 목적은 과학캠프 활동이 학생들의 과학에 대한 태도가 영향을 미치는지 알아보기 위한 것이다. 이 연구의 대상은 2009 제주해변과 학캠프에 참여한 초등학생과 중학생들이다. 과학에 대한 태도 검사 결과 사전 검사와 사후 검사간에 통계적으로 유의미한 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 성별과 학년에 따른 분석에서도 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 학생들은 과학적 탐구 태도와 과학 수업의 즐거움 영역에서 높은 점수를 보였다. 특히 사후검사가 사전검사보다 낮은 경향을 보였는데, 이는 과학캠프 프로그램이 탐구 활동을 강화하는 방향으로 개선되어야 함을 시사하고 있다. 이 연구의 결과는 향후 과학캠프 프로그램 개발에 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate changing the elementary and middle students’ attitude toward science. Subjects were the elementary and middle school students to participate in 2009 Jeju beach science camp. In the result of analysis on TOSRA, there was no significant difference between pre-test and post-test. There was no significant difference in analysis according to gender and grade. The students showed high score in ‘attitude to scientific inquiry’ and ‘enjoyment of science lessons’. Especially the scores of post-test were lower than pre-test scores. These results imply that the program should be improved to reinforce inquiry activities. Also the results of this study will be able to be used for the science camp program development as the basic materials.
