다문화 사회를 위한 교육자료 개발

Abstract

다양한 문화권의 부모로부터 태어나는 아동들이 우리의 공교육 기관내에 급속도로 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라 학교 현장에서는 다문화 가정및 한국 주류 가정의 아동 양자를 위한 실제적 다문화 교육 자료의 필요성이 절실하다. 그러나 교사들이 현장에서 직접 적용할 수 있는 다문화교육과정 , 교수⋅학습 방법, 교재, 교과서 등이 매우 부족하다.본 연구는 학교 현장의 다문화 교육을 위하여 사용할 수 있는 자료의하나로써 세계 여러 나라의 동요를 배경적 자료와 함께 제시한다. 여기서 제시되는 자료들은 다문화 가정 출신의 아동들의 긍정적 정체감을 개발하고, 한국의 역사⋅사회⋅문화에 쉽게 다가갈 수 있게 하는 도구로써사용되도록 하는 목적을 지닌다. 또한 다문화 가정 아동과 한국 주류 가정 아동 다함께 다른 나라의 역사⋅사회⋅문화를 이해하고, 인류의 공통적 문제해결에 참여하며, 다양한 음악 및 문화 사이의 공통점과 차이점을 인지할 수 있도록 한다.본 연구의 다문화 동요들은 음악 수업 뿐 아니라 타교과에서도 이용될수 있기를 바란다. 동요는 다른 문화에 쉽게 접근할 수 있는 창구(窓口)의 역할을 할 수 있기 때문이다. 그리고 무엇보다도 이러한 동요들을 통하여 다문화 가정 및 주류 가정 출신의 아동들은 함께 노래하고 춤추고 게임하는 경험에 함께 참여할 수 있다.

Korea is changing to multicultural society, resulting in many children from multicultural families. Even though these children have rights as Korean citizen, they are reported to experience inequity and biases from their peer groups in schools. Music education can help multicultural children develop positive self-esteem by providing their own culture's music in their classes. In addition, music education introduce them to Korean history, society and culture which they consider difficult. Children from both multicultural and non-multicultiral familly can learn other nations' history, society and culture through world children songs. They can see universality between people through diverse culture's children songs. At the same time they also can perceive the uniqueness of each culture's music. Through music education, multicultural and non-multicultural children sing, dance and play games collaborately. This study introduced Korean, Chinese, Chaoxianzu, Vietnamese, American and Japanese songs which can be used in Korean music classes, which have children from both multicultural and non-multicultural families. This study also presented the accompanying class activities to benefit both multicultural and non-multicultural children. In implementing these classes, it is always important for teachers to consider human rights and equity issues for every child.
