Abstract
본교의 지방대학 특성화 사업 지원분야는 멀티미디어 분야이다. 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 특성화 추진현황 및 우리 대학의 특성화 전략을 소개하고 향후 추진계획에 대해 기술하였다.
Today's society is one based on diversity and openness. It is also a society in which the entire world has been connected together like a spider's web by new information technology. Because of these changes in society, universities and no longer exist as isolated ivory towers of truth. Kyungsung University is always changing and developing in our efforts to train and produce individuals who are capable of keeping pace with and competing in the fast changing environment of today's world. In an effort to achieve this goal, we have implemented practical and concrete measures which focus the educational methods of each department on multimedia. in particualr, each department is dedicating itself to educating specialists in multimedia hardware, software, and contents who will have a competitive advantage over graduates from other schools. By also emphasizing the liberal arts and a humanitarian education, we are able to educate individuals who will not be merely technical specialists, but who will be the intellectual leaders of the future. The strategies for Outstanding Specialization are as follow: First, 'The only University' strategy that look for niche in specific field offering more realistic and actual education to students. Second, 'World-Only' strategy that study major field that there exist only one in the world. Third, 'Globalization (Globalization + Localization)' strategy that students advance to central through the world.
