순자(荀子)의 "예악론(禮樂論)"으로 본 행복의 조건

Abstract

This study examines the ``LiYuelun(禮樂論)`` of Xunzi, and discusses personal and social conditions for happiness in modern life. In pursuit of happiness, anxiety emerge at the moment when individual and individual`s` constantly conflict. This research tried to find a solution to not being anxious(being happy) in ``LiYuelun(禮樂論)`` suggested by Xunzi. In this study, we attempted to find the conditions of happiness in Yuelun 「樂論」and Lilun 「禮論」, and on the basis of it we analyzed the case of music players. From the point of happiness in Yuelun 「樂論」, we studied how to alleviate anxiety. In Lilun 「禮論」, we also researched the social rules for continuous and stable happiness. From the viewpoint of happiness, ``Li(禮)`` is essential for becoming calm when the pursuit one`s own happiness make constant conflict. When ones apply ``Li(禮)`` to alleviate conflict, they need ``Yue(樂)`` to relieve stress and dissatisfaction because of difference between them. On the theoretical basis of the Xunzi`s ``LiYuelun(禮樂論)``, we studied the music performers case and applied ``LiYuelun(禮樂論)`` in regard of "although music players choose music for their job(major), why they feel anxiety when they are playing music?". Finally, from ``LiYuelun(禮樂論)`` argued by Xunzi, we suggested the conditions of happiness and the rest challenges that are presented.
