북·중 동맹관계 소고[小考]

Abstract

북·중관계는 여전히 희망과 불신, 협력과 갈등관계에서 탈피하지 못하고 공존하는 상태라고 할 수 있다. 북한은 중국이외의 대안을 가지고 있지 않으며 중국 역시 전략적 측면에서 북한을 포기할 수 없다. 이 글은 다음의 북·중관계에 대한 전망으로 한국은 중재자로서의 역할과 실제 달성하기는 어렵지만 미국, 중국, 북한 모두에게서 인정받기를 원하고 있다. 한국의 정책은 한반도의 안보 안정을 조성하기 위한 남·북한의 협력을 높이고 미·중간의 대립을 막는 것에 초점을 맞추어야 할 것이다.

China-North Korea relations are still trapped in a bifurcated structure where hope, distrust, cooperation, conflicts coexist. North Korea doesn't have any alternative to China and also China cannot afford to give up on strategic values of North Korea. This article makes the future prospects for China-North Korea relations, Korea seeks to be a broker and wants to be recognized as such by the United States, China and North Korea, which is hard to achieve. Korea’s policy should focus on preventing confrontation between China and U.S. and enhancing two Koreas cooperation to stabilize security in the Korean Peninsula.
